Skagway Sightseeing Tours
Begin your
shore excursion with a tour of Skagway's Historic District, as your tour guide
brings to life Skagway's lawless days during the Gold Rush of 1898.Tour the
historic Gold Rush Cemetery, where your tour guide will relate to you the tale
of Soapy Smith and Frank Reid and their famous gunfight on Skagway's old
Juneau Wharf.
This tour
will stop at the Skagway Overlook where you will enjoy the scenic view of
Skagway below, your ship in the Lynn Canal, and the spectacular Chilkat
Mountains in the background. Leaving Skagway for the White Pass Summit
area be sure to have your camera ready for some of the most spectacular
scenery anywhere in Alaska. You will be stopping for pictures of waterfalls,
glaciers and scenic vistas you will long remember.
Your tour guide will keep you entertained with truly amazing stories of the
Stampeders during the Klondike Gold Rush of 1897 - '98. Continuing along the
historic White Pass area, we will climb 3292 feet to the desolate Tormented
Valley of British Columbia. Here you will come face to face with the rugged
wilderness that inspired such authors as Jack London and Robert Service.
As our tour comes to a close, your tour guide will either let you off in the
heart of Skagway's shopping district or return you to your ship.
