Glacier Lake Kayaking/White Pass & Yukon Route Railway Combination Tour
The perfect combination of a relaxing trip on the White Pass & Yukon Route
Railway coupled with an exciting kayak tour on the crystal clear water of a
glacier lake. This trip winds up the Klondike Gold Rush White Pass trail
aboard comfortable, vintage railcars. One of the most popular tours in
Alaska, WP&YR has been providing informative, spectacular trips since 1898.
After reaching the summit of White Pass, the beauty of the Canadian wilderness
opens ahead. A short time later the train arrives at beautiful Lake
Bernard located at the edge of historic Fraser, British Columbia.
After disembarking from the train, your guided kayaking adventure begins with
expert instruction and safety briefing from qualified staff. You paddle
stable, state of the art, 2-person kayaks across the cold, pristine water that
the Klondikers paddled 100 years ago. Gorgeous, snow-capped mountains
rise all around the lake adding the majestic aura to the scene.
Your naturalist/guide will thrill you with stories of the gold rush and point
out wildlife along the way. Watch for bear, mountain goat, caribou and
eagle amid the alpine terrain.
