WHITE PASS RAILWAY & HELI-HIKE

Combine a scenic helicopter flight and a rail trip aboard the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad with a refreshing hike in the Tongass National Forest. 

This fully-guided wilderness experience of offers the perfect mix of adventure, exercise and unforgettable scenery.  First, board a helicopter for a flight over the Juneau Icefield to Glacier Station. From there, set off on a five-mile round trip hike along the Skagway River to an isolated cabin near the base of Laughton Glacier.  Throughout the hike, your guides provide information about the region's history, and perhaps a tale or two from one of Robert Service's many ballads of the North. 

After returning to Glacier Station, board the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad for a one hour scenic ride back to Skagway 

Duration: Approximately 5 1/2 hours 
Price: $275.00 per person (Minimum age is 9 years) 
Fitness level: Strenuous.
Note: Rain poncho, gloves; day packs with water and candy bars is provided.
Note: Participants should be in good physical condition this is a wilderness hike over uneven and sometimes difficult terrain.  Please wear a lightweight long-sleeved shirt and / or sweater and shoes with sonic ankle support.
